Each semester, our curriculum covers over 450 pages, filled with lessons and activities designed to guide you and your child through rich learning together. Below, I’ll walk you through how we built this resource and what you and your family can look forward to discovering inside.

Why Is It So Engaging?

The sweetest words I hear from parents are about how much more curious and eager their children are to learn. I believe this comes from a few special touches we put into every page.

  • Each page focuses on just one idea, so little learners never feel overwhelmed.
  • Soft watercolor art, plenty of breathing room on the page, and gentle scenes of animals and nature help little minds feel calm and ready to learn.

Do I need to live on a farm?

If you are new to farm life, you are in good company. Each lesson gives you everything you need to guide your child. And if you are anything like us, you might find a few quiet lessons for your own heart tucked in among the farm truths.

What age is this for?

Kiddos ages 4 to 6 will get the most out of these books, but if you have a curious three-year-old by your side, you can enjoy them as an activity book with a little extra help from you.


What about educational standards?

No problem, we've got you covered. We wrote this book to meet California state standards for early childhood education.

What if I don't homeschool my children?

Our tracing book and little farmer reader are great additions to your home. Use these as workbooks and reading resources. Ask your school about including Chickens on the Farm in their curriculum options.

Is this a faith-based curriculum?

Yes and no. We specifically designed this book to be available for public school programs and for parents to purchase with public funding. Agriculture is a deeply spiritual subject. If you're looking to discuss faith with your kids, you'll find that most concepts can be used as parables. For those looking to discuss faith, use our emotional intelligence call-outs to discuss spiritual topics.
